🪙 Would you buy a 24K gold penny?

Good morning Reader,

The final penny rolled off the Mint a week ago and now the U.S. Mint is auctioning off 24K gold three-coin sets. You can tell they're part of the final run because, well, they're made of gold but also because they have a special Omega (Ω) privy mark.

I get that the Mint sells coins for a profit...

... but this one feels a little weird.

🧮 IRS Updates Limits for 2026

The IRS released the contribution limits, income phaseouts, and other figures for retirement accounts in 2026.

You can now contribute up to $7500 into an IRA and those 50 and older can put in $8,600 a year.

🏠 Warren Buffett's Thanksgiving Letter

Warren Buffett will no longer be writing Berkshire's annual letter and has transitioned to sharing his thoughts in his Thanksgiving letter.

It has three sections and is only 8 pages. The first discusses his extraordinary luck, including a childhood emergency appendectomy. The second part talks about charitable giving and the third covers the future of Berkshire Hathaway.
