I did want to share a post I wrote a while ago that I still think about it frequently. It's the idea of Winner's Games and Loser's Games... check it out and let me know what you think.

A winner's game is one that is won based on making winning moves.

A loser's game is one that is won by avoiding errors. It's important to know which game you're playing.

I have been writing about money for nearly 20 years and believe that personal finance is one of those subjects that is made complicated because it benefits a select few. Our aim is to help make it easier to understand so that regular folks can use what we teach to take control of their money and build wealth.

Good morning Reader! A company recently reached out to me about their negotiation service. You give it all the bills you pay, they try to use AI to negotiate down the monthly charge, and you only pay if they are successful. (I'm not sharing their name because I want to learn more about it) I'm not entirely sure if they can help me personally as I try to negotiate one bill each month (that list has 12 targets). It doesn't always work. It doesn't have to though. I just give it a try and if it...

Good morning Reader! The 10-year Treasury is creeping up to levels we haven't seen since 2025 and the 30-year is around 5.27%. Rates are going up. That's important because with higher interest rates in Japan, the yen carry trade becomes less attractive. But, I'm not changing anything I'm doing. I'm decades from...

Good morning Reader! It seems that every week brings a new economic crisis. Whether it's the Iran war or the Fed flattening the yield curve or more retaliatory tariffs with our largest trading partners, there's always something. If you try to pay attention to it all, you're going to be overwhelmed. And it'll all be out of date next week. When it comes to your money, have a plan and stay the course. Invest early and often, save for a rainy day, and don't let the news impact your mental state....
