πŸ€– Do your really need AI in your money?

Good morning Reader!

A company recently reached out to me about their negotiation service. You give it all the bills you pay, they try to use AI to negotiate down the monthly charge, and you only pay if they are successful. (I'm not sharing their name because I want to learn more about it)

I'm not entirely sure if they can help me personally as I try to negotiate one bill each month (that list has 12 targets). It doesn't always work. It doesn't have to though. I just give it a try and if it works, great.

You don't have to do everything all at once. That would take a lot of time and too easy to put off. Getting 1% better each day is a winning strategy.

Give it a shot, negotiate something today.

πŸ€– Do You Really Need AI In Your Finances?

ChatGPT lets you connect your finances. And brokers are now letting you connect LLMs and agents to act and trade on your behalf.

Is this necessary? Is it even a good idea?

Here's my take:

πŸ“‹ The World's Safest Market is Breaking

You know how there are almost no pensions anymore and every company now offers 401(k)s instead?

That helps the stock market but it hurts the bond market because pension plans used to buy long-dated Treasury bonds. Pensions wouldn't care about price because they held to maturity, using the payments to pay out pensions.

This 16-min video explains it and its impact:

Hi, I'm Jim Wang and I share my strategies and tactics for managing your money and enjoying more out of life.

I have been writing about money for nearly 20 years and believe that personal finance is one of those subjects that is made complicated because it benefits a select few. Our aim is to help make it easier to understand so that regular folks can use what we teach to take control of their money and build wealth.

Good morning Reader! The 10-year Treasury is creeping up to levels we haven't seen since 2025 and the 30-year is around 5.27%. Rates are going up. Interest rate traders now see a 66.2% chance the Fed increases the target federal funds rate. If that wasn't enough, Japan's 10-year just hit 4% for the first time since 1996. That's important because with higher interest rates in Japan, the yen carry trade becomes less attractive. But, I'm not changing anything I'm doing. I'm decades from...

Good morning Reader! It seems that every week brings a new economic crisis. Whether it's the Iran war or the Fed flattening the yield curve or more retaliatory tariffs with our largest trading partners, there's always something. If you try to pay attention to it all, you're going to be overwhelmed. And it'll all be out of date next week. When it comes to your money, have a plan and stay the course. Invest early and often, save for a rainy day, and don't let the news impact your mental state....
